This free festival will transform the town into a vibrant celebration of creativity, heritage and connection, bringing together local artists, performers and the community.
From dynamic live performances to an enchanting parade and hands-on art workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re an artist, performer, or simply looking for a fun day out.
A colourful parade through the town
Beginning at 12pm be captivated by a spectacular procession of music, movement and visual artistry, featuring local schools, musicians, morris dancers, performers and artists. Watch in awe as puppets crafted by Gloucestershire College Art & Design students bring to life the theme of magical creatures and folklore inspired by the Forest of Dean. Expect bold colours, imaginative designs and a touch of enchantment as the parade weaves through the heart of town.
Get involved with a range of workshops
With events happening across multiple community venues, including The Wesley, the Triangle, The Music Works, Artspace, The Picture House Gallery and CANDI, the entire town will be alive with creativity. Dive into drop-in art workshops from 1-4pm, a chance to unleash your inner artist, meet like-minded creatives and explore new techniques.
Honouring our roots – the festival theme
This year’s theme, Celebrating Roots, honours Cinderford’s rich history and community spirit. Through music, art and storytelling, the festival will highlight the unique heritage, traditions and folklore that make this region so special.
